What is Vocational Rehabilitation?
Vocational therapy is a form of rehabilitation that helps individuals prepare for, return to, or adapt to meaningful work after illness, injury, or disability. The goal is to support independence, confidence, and success in the workplace by addressing both physical and cognitive challenges that may impact job performance.
Vocational therapists work with patients to assess strengths, identify barriers, and develop personalized strategies for employment. This may include improving work-related skills, adapting tasks or environments, practicing job-specific activities, and exploring new career options when needed. Vocational therapy often involves collaboration with employers, families, and healthcare providers to create supportive pathways back into the workforce.
Vocational Rehabilitation is blended into everything we do at Centered Care.
